Fast-Seinco: 6 years of a disruptive partnership for sanitation

In October 2015, Fast Tecnologia Industrial and Uruguayan company Seinco signed a partnership that is revolutionizing the direction of sanitation in Latin America. The joint venture is celebrating its 6th anniversary, with numerous advances and a broad portfolio of projects, including some of the most modern in Brazil and the world. With […]

With over 30 years of experience in the sector, Seinco's director, Francisco Gross, emphasizes that the objective of the joint venture was to enhance and complement the expertise between his company and Fast. With a view to the long term, the companies' skills converged, with Fast offering the manufacture of high-standard equipment and solutions in the sludge dewatering and dissolved air flotation sector, and Seinco offering the combined physical-chemical and biological treatments of water, sewage and industrial waste, as well as special complete treatment for obtaining drinking water. In addition, Seinco is at the forefront of some technologies, such as clarification in dissolved air flotation, biological treatments and integrated sludge treatment, aiming at digestion, dewatering and thermal drying. High-standard solutions, very compact and with a high level of automation.

Over the past six years of working together, the Fast-Seinco partnership has achieved great success in the sector. Serving large companies such as Sabesp, Sanepar, Casan, Corsan, state and municipal companies, independent services, private operators in the water and sewage sector such as Grupo Águas do Brasil, Grupo Iguá and Grupo Solvi, in addition to agribusinesses, with which Fast has traditionally developed. All of these are companies of recognized prestige in their respective segments.

Among the solutions that have successfully solved long-standing environmental problems, the Canasvieiras Sewage Treatment Plants in Florianópolis stand out. In the interior of Santa Catarina, we have the ETEs of Lauro Muller, Forquilhinha, Braço do Norte and Canoinhas. In Paraná, there is the ETE Cominese in Paranaguá and, in the western region of the state, the ETEs of Toledo and Guaíra. Three other plants with the highest technological standards and tertiary treatment among the most advanced in the world are the ETE Santa Terezinha in Canela/RS, the ETE Ávila in Gramado/RS, and the ETE Barracão in Bento Gonçalves/RS, in addition to the Debossan Water Treatment Plants in Nova Friburgo/RJ and Lagoa do Peri in Florianópolis/SC. These works, which are already in operation, will be accompanied by new ones, whose projects began this year with Sabesp for the bold New Rio Pinheiros Program, which aims to revitalize the Pinheiros River and the Tietê River, in São Paulo.

The technological advantage of the solutions promoted by Fast-Seinco lies in the use of highly intensive and efficient processes, such as clarification by dissolved air flotation and the combination of physical-chemical and biological biofilm processes, which allows the relative size of the installations to be reduced to less than 1/3 of conventional solutions. In fact, this allows a high level of prefabrication of the installations through the use of noble materials, such as stainless steel, with significant gains in terms of costs and shorter execution times.” – Describes Francisco Gross.

Fast-Seinco projects growth in the Brazilian and international markets over the coming years, providing increasingly competitive and efficient technologies to meet the demands of the public and private sectors, with access to solutions with lower environmental impacts.
