Fast holds Internal Week for the Prevention of Accidents at Work

Reinforcing our commitment to workplace safety, between July 12th and 16th, Fast promoted the Internal Week for the Prevention of Accidents at Work (SIPAT).

The opening was attended by Management, to congratulate the collaborator Geovane Rech, author of the call used as the theme of SIPAT 2021 and, subsequently, next year's winner was revealed: Arthur Tozatti da Silva, from the Boilermaking sector.

The event featured a packed schedule of activities, including workplace gymnastics and a safety tunnel. This year, due to the pandemic, the activities took place at different times throughout the day, in groups of 10 to 15 people.

At the closing ceremony, prizes and kits with June treats were distributed.

Much more than just complying with legal requirements, we are responsible every day for creating healthy environments for our employees to feel happy and protected. Furthermore, because we believe that unity makes a difference, we also seek to encourage the exchange of information among them.

In this way, the concept “Practice safety regardless of who. Take care of yourself and your friend too!”, brought by collaborator Geovane Rech, represented our expectations for the event very well. We hope that the content has been an addition to the daily lives of our collaborators, making it absorbed, experienced and shared among them on a daily basis.

Together, we protect the health of our colleagues and we can go further and further.

Below, we have provided tips for promoting a safer work environment:

– Use the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by the company when carrying out your work.

– Share safety information with your colleagues, especially new ones.

– Keep your work environment organized, without leaving objects lying around or scattered on the floor.

– Don’t take risks by improvising tools or processes. If necessary, communicate so that safe solutions can be provided.

– Always keep circulation areas, emergency exits and access to fire extinguishers clear.

– Do not smoke in prohibited areas.

– Pay attention to your posture, especially if you spend a lot of time sitting down.

– Follow all guidelines to combat COVID-19.
