The WWTPs designed by Fast are supplied with physical-chemical systems that are highly efficient in removing pollutants. The chemicals used are easily accessible. To coagulate soluble pollutants in sewage, ferric chloride, ferrous sulfate, ferric sulfate, among others, can be used as coagulants. Hydrogen peroxide is added together with the coagulant to obtain Fenton reactions, causing oxidation and removal of organic load.
Another chemical product used in the physical-chemical process is the polymer, also known as flocculant, always added after coagulation or precipitation. Its function is to increase the clots or precipitates in flakes, increasing the application rate and efficiency of the equipment. Fast's cutting-edge technology that enables these reactions ensures high efficiency in the process. It is widely used in the treatment of raw sewage or as a polishing agent for sewage already treated by UASB or another biological process.
